The First Toll Road for the New Capital City  The first toll road on the island of Kalimantan was finally realized as well. This afternoon, from the Samboja toll gate in Kutai Kartanegara District, East Kalimantan, I inaugurated three Balikpapan-Samarinda toll sections of 58.7 kilometers.

The total length of this toll road is 99.3 kilometers, divided into five sections. Three sections have been completed, the other two sections hopefully can be completed by April 2020.

This toll road will cut travel time considerably between the two main cities of East Kalimantan, Balikpapan and Samarinda, which were originally three hours via ordinary roads, to around one hour.

In addition, this toll road will encourage the development of oil palm, coal, oil, gas and agricultural commodity production areas which are directly connected to the distribution channel.

One more, the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road will accelerate access to the core area of ​​the new national capital.

The Longest Bridge in Indonesia  Long traffic jams every day on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road in the last two years, immediately unraveled towards the end of the year. Today, I inaugurated the Jakarta-Cikampek or Japek II elevated toll road, which was built in 2017.

This is the elevated toll road as well as the longest bridge in Indonesia. Stretching along 36.4 kilometers, all of them are in the form of elevated construction supported by 9,000 piles right in some sections of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, from Cikunir to West Karawang.

The elevated toll road was built to separate the density of vehicles in the Jakarta-Bekasi-Cikarang travel lane with long-distance travel lanes such as Cirebon, Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya.
I appreciate the great work of this toll road construction. I know the process is so complicated: building an elevated toll road on a toll road that remains open and packed with 200,000 vehicles every day. On its side there is also the construction of the Jabodebek LRT, and nearby there is the construction of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train line.

Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly. In the near future, Japek II can be passed by vehicles, especially during the 2019 Christmas celebrations and 2020 New Year holidays.

Inaugural Export of Isuzu Production Commercial Vehicles  PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) released its first export commercial production vehicle, Isuzu Traga, this morning in the Suryacipta Industrial Estate, East Karawang.

And I present with pleasure. Why? Yes because this is the first export. Initially IAMI sent 120 units of cars to one country, namely the Philippines. But then, IAMI wants to expand export destinations to more than 20 countries to the Middle East, Latin America and Africa.

This is what the government expects: to encourage exports while looking for ways to reduce imports.

The information I can mention, throughout 2019 the Indonesian automotive sector recorded exports of approximately 300,000 units. I give the target, in 2024, exports of the Indonesian automotive industry will reach one million units.

In the long run, I hope that Indonesia will become a production hub, where the units produced are exported to all countries.

However, the Kunciran-Serpong toll road that I inaugurated yesterday was very important.

This toll road is a diversion path for some vehicles, especially heavy vehicles, from the toll roads in the city of Jakarta and JORR I which are dense. In these routes, people who go back and forth from Banten-Jakarta often complain: "Sir, we can get old on the road because of traffic jams".

What is important now is to instill the values ​​of the Pancasila especially to young people, who make up 48 percent or 129 million of the entire Indonesian population. If you don't understand ideology, don't understand Pancasila, this big country is at stake.

Turning New Economic Points Along Sumatra Island  Good morning. Towards the end of 2019, the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road will continue. The total length is 2,974 kilometers, dividing the island of Sumatra from Lampung to Aceh, and is targeted to be completed in 2024.

Until the end of 2019, the Trans Sumatra Toll Road operating is 501.16 kilometers!

The completed and passable sections are Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar 141 kilometers, Terbanggi Besar - Baked Pematang - Agung Wood along 189 kilometers, Palembang - Indralaya 22 kilometers, Medan - Binjai 10.46 kilometers, Medan - Kualanamu - Tebing Tinggi 62 , 2 kilometers and Belawan - Medan - Tanjung Morawa 43 kilometers. And which will soon be operational this December will be the 33.5 kilometer Kayu Agung-Jakabaring.

This toll road will cut travel times between regions and facilitate the flow of goods distribution from industrial centers to various regions in Sumatra, and revive new economic points along the island of Sumatra.

The democratic system that we have in place in Indonesia has now passed trials and trials. Direct elections and restrictions on the term of office of the president and vice president, for example, are the result of reform.

And I was one of the direct election products based on the post-reform 1945 Constitution. If there is no reform, I and many other ordinary people will not achieve the dream of becoming a regent, mayor, governor, or president.

For this reason, when there is a discourse on the amendment to the 1945 Constitution, I have already questioned: will it not go anywhere?

My position is clear: I do not agree with the proposal that the term of office of the President is extended to three periods. The proposal was actually going to plunge me. Want to slap my face.

In the midst of global uncertainty at the moment, I think it is better not to have constitutional amendments. We concentrate alone through external pressures that are not easily resolved.

Building the Indonesian International Islamic University Campus (UIII)

Building the Indonesian International Islamic University Campus (UIII)  Good morning. The government is building the Indonesian International Islamic University Campus (UIII) in the RRI Cimanggis Complex area, Depok, West Java. As a National Strategic Project, the construction of the campus is expected to be completed in December 2020. One more year.

The UIII campus was built in two stages at a cost of Rp1.2 trillion. Two ministries share their duties: The Ministry of Religion built a rector building, a faculty building and a plaza. While the Ministry of Public Works and Housing built a lecturer house, campus mosque covering an area of ​​5,200 m2, an eight-storey library covering an area of ​​16,556 m2, and an eight-storey student dormitory covering an area of ​​12,815 m2 and others.

While the regional infrastructure and surrounding fence are done by BUMN Brantas Abipraya. The UIII campus buildings only utilize 20-30 percent of the total area of ​​the complex. The rest will be a green space in the form of a garden.

I hope that UIII will become a future campus for the study and research of Islamic civilization in Indonesia as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world.
